Itinerary
Altitude: 2,165 meters
Depart from Kathmandu early in the morning for a scenic drive to Sundarijal. After reaching Sundarijal, begin your trek into Shivapuri National Park, where you will encounter lush forests and beautiful landscapes. The trail leads you to Chisapani, a popular hill station known for its panoramic views of the Himalayas, including peaks like Langtang and Gauri Shankar.
Altitude: 2,470 meters
After breakfast, set out from Chisapani towards Kutumsang. The trail features several ups and downs as you pass through charming villages and dense forests of rhododendron and oak. Enjoy lunch at Chipling along the way before continuing your trek to Kutumsang, where you will spend the night in a local tea house.
Altitude: 3,650 meters
Depart from Kutumsang and ascend towards Thadepati. This section of the trek offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. The trail winds through beautiful landscapes, with opportunities to see local wildlife and unique flora. Upon reaching Thadepati, enjoy the stunning vistas before settling in for the night.

Begin your descent from Thadepati to Tarke Ghyang, a picturesque Sherpa village. The trek takes you through lush forests and terraced fields, providing glimpses of traditional village life. Tarke Ghyang is home to one of the largest monasteries in the Helambu region, where you can learn about Tibetan Buddhism and local culture.

On this day, trek from Tarke Ghyang to Sermathang. The trail is relatively easy and offers beautiful views of the surrounding landscapes. Upon reaching Sermathang, explore the village and enjoy the serene environment. You may also visit local monasteries and engage with friendly villagers.
Altitude: Melamchi Bazaar - 846 meters
- After breakfast, trek down to Melamchi Bazaar. This final stretch takes about three hours as you descend through terraced fields and villages. Upon reaching Melamchi Bazaar, enjoy lunch before taking a private vehicle back to Kathmandu.
